I wanted a “subscribe to posts” plugin, tried Jetpack’s but it wants everyone to
have a Wordpress.com account. That won’t fly with most of my clients. Subme does
the job, no muss or fuss. I was able to diddle the css to make it blend with 2 different
sites.
